"New York - Freedom Now" was presented for the first time at Art Week Miami 2023 with the Artboxy Collective, which won the prize for best stand awarded by RED SOT MIAMI.
"New York - Freedom Now" has been selected for the Venice Biennale 2024, whose theme is "Strangers Everywhere".
Taken in 2022 in New York, its theme is Liberty, with its most famous symbol in the background. It's a tribute to Lady Liberty, mother of exiles, mother of immigrants. A masked woman returns from her "pilgrimage" to hope for only one thing: her freedom. A mass of rope cuts the photo in two, allowing for both personal and universal readings.
This photo is a visual experience only possible when seen up close. The play of light makes several parts of the picture flicker, giving a sensation of movement and giving the impression that the pile of rope is being consumed and burned.
